Mansfield, Ohio-- The City of Mansfield is seeking community members to serve on the Human Relations Commission. This Commission was formed in 1963 to promote improved communication, understanding, and cooperation for all people. In 1981 City Council passed an ordinance to re-organize the commission. Today, the commission continues in that venue dealing with all issues related to discrimination of any kind. Members shall be committed to the philosophy of equal opportunity for and fair treatment of all people, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, age or ancestry. Equal protection of the law and full rights and privileges of citizenship for all people remains a top priority for this commission.

Members of the Human Relations Commission serve without compensation for a term of three years. This Commission meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 4:30 pm in the Mayor's 9th Floor Conference Room located in the Municipal Building at 30 N. Diamond Street.
