Fire Inspection Program

The Fire Prevention Bureau conducts inspections of commercial properties, multi-family residences, schools, and public buildings to ensure compliance with Ohio Fire Code and local regulations. Regular inspections help prevent fires, protect occupants, and reduce property damage.

During a fire inspection, our fire inspectors will:

Knox Box Program

The Knox Box system provides secure, emergency access to businesses and buildings for firefighters, reducing the risk of property damage during emergency responses.

Knox Box Requirements

  • Provides rapid entry during emergencies when the building is unoccupied.
  • Only authorized fire personnel can access Knox Box keys.
