The City has installed our first tornado sirens! They are installed at Burton, John’s, John Todd, and South Parks.
Each siren is expected to have a one-mile notification radius. Some of the outer edges of our surrounding townships are covered by sirens.
All four sirens will service 17,888 buildings within the city limits.
All sirens will be tested for one minute at 4:00 PM on the last Wednesday of every month.
More information will be released regarding the procedures for when the sirens are activated for a tornado event.
