Water and sewer accounts are billed monthly the greater of, the actual water use that passes through the meter, or a minimum service fee if there is no usage. If you use a lot of water outside or have a swimming pool it would be to your advantage to purchase a sewer deduct meter. The sewer deduct meter would reduce the cost of sewer usage for any “outside watering”.
The City of Mansfield’s Public Utilities Office is committed to providing the best possible service to our customers. We appreciate your cooperation to help us accomplish this goal. We may need access to your water meter or additional information as needed.
Please call Utilities Collections at 419-755-9785 to discuss any unusually high water bill- you may have a leak. Any water leak, no matter how large or small can increase your monthly bill. The most common undetected leak is a running toilet, If filling a pool, irrigation system, or you do a lot of outside watering, you may want to consider purchasing a sewer deduct meter. This meter would reduce the cost of sewer usage for any “outside watering”. Your quick response and corrective action can help prevent high water bills. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our office at 419-755-9785 for assistance.
